While I usually work face-to-face as a counsellor in Kilburn, in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 and this period of self-isolation, I am offering counselling via telephone or online video calls, so that you don't feel alone in this difficult time. Self-isolation has forced many of us to look inwards, and slow down. While being with oneself is heaven for some people, for many it can feel very difficult. There is a lot of opportunity for growth in this, with the right therapeutic input, but if left unheld, it can become overwhelming. I offer counselling to individuals from all walks of life, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully. I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space. I can work with you on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period.

I have cross-cultural experience in the UK, Pakistan and the US. I am a bilingual therapist and am fluent in English and Urdu. I am one of the few Urdu therapists in North London. Whether you want to work in English, or Urdu, or both, I believe my bilingualism gives me more angles to look at things from.

I provide counselling in Kilburn, North London, but I also run ad hoc clinics from Central London. I also have experience of working online via video calls or on the phone, if you can't meet face-to-face.

My professional experience includes working with diversity and trauma. Diversity is one of the reasons I chose to work as a counsellor in Kilburn. My approach to therapy comes from my training, work, and life experience. My training is integrative, which means that as a therapist, instead of being limited to one particular therapeutic approach, I can draw from a variety of diverse approaches and tailor the therapy to your needs. I am flexible in using approaches that help you come to terms with your past, or those that are more oriented towards the future.

I like to take a holistic view of my clients, which means that as your therapist, I see you as a whole: body, emotions, mind, and soul, and how these aspects interact and come together or are at odds with each other. I also take into account your environment, social context, life situation, and relationships.
